2018 Summer Camp

Unplug your child and leave the electronics behind for the day!

Dear Campers,

Summer will be here before you know it and we are happy to be offering camp again this year.  We will have nine weeks of camp with different grade levels.  Not only will we have the same activities campers have enjoyed in the past, but we are planning, some exciting new projects.

The limit for each camp is 12 children between grades K-10. Camp is $300.00 per week. There is a $25.00 discount for enrolling two or more siblings. Camp will begin promptly at 9:00am and end at 3:00pm except on Friday. Friday is our culmination project and we ask that a representative from the camper’s family attend at 11:30 to see a fantastic program by the children. All are welcome to the program and often the newspaper shows up too! After the program, children will go home with their parents.

Camps will be scheduled by grade:

Discover many different bird species. Watch and help feed baby birds. Study how feathers differ from species to species. See how the tail and wings help a bird fly. Dissect owl pellets. Identify skulls and feet from different birds. Explore life in the forest, from the mammals and reptiles who live in the trees to the turtles and toads who sleep under the leaves. Discover the world of Hawks and Owls. Look at different bird beaks. Watch Opossums interact with each other, from climbing to playing dead. Observe critters of all kinds playing and eating. If you have a child who has attended previously and is now above the age limit, please contact me to inquire about junior counselor positions. Registrations will be taken on a first come, first served basis, so be sure to respond promptly. Thank you for your continued interest in the Aark and its programs. We look forward to working with the children again this year. We also have tuition assistance available if needed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Debbie Kovitch
