Volunteer at the wildlife clinic

Are you interested in working with wildlife? Want to help feed bottle babies and aid in the recovery of injured wildlife? Can you commit to a 4-hour shift once a week during our busy season? If you answered “yes” to those questions, we’d love for you to join our wildlife clinic as a seasonal volunteer or intern!

Requirements:

  • Submit an online volunteer application and the required documents attached to the application

  • You must be 18 years old or older to be considered for a volunteer shift

  • You must commit to a 4-hour shift each week during our busy season (April-October)

If you missed our 2024 live virtual volunteer orientation, please watch the recorded session. The link is located on our volunteer application. Internships

Did you know we offer both Animal Care Internships in our Rehabilitation Center and Environmental Education Internships in our Education Center?

Internships at Aark develop your wildlife knowledge and experience. Our internships run during the summer months and are accredited by several colleges and universities.  Because our interns are earning college credits, they are expected to work more shifts and complete projects that are more challenging than that which is required of our typical volunteers.  At the end of the program, our interns receive a review and evaluation of their performance, initiative, leadership, and reliability.

For more information about an internship at Aark, please contact aarkvolunteer@aark.org.

Please have all of your institution’s requirements available when inquiring.
