Always Check Your Lettuce

Always check your produce for frogs!

This green tree frog was admitted after hitchhiking his way to Pennsylvania in produce. Luckily, a store employee had found the little frog nestled in a head of lettuce and brought him over to the clinic.

While we do have gray tree frogs in Pennsylvania, green tree frogs are not native. Due to state regulations and the possibility of spreading pathogens, this frogs is being quarantined and closely monitored before heading over to our education center where he will reside with our other resident tree frogs.
